The Geekom A5 Pro comes with a 65-watt power supply, an HDMI cable, a VESA bracket for mounting behind the monitor and a compact manual with helpful information on connections and the expansion of RAM and SSD.

The Geekom A5 Pro is supplied from the factory with RAM and SSD installed and is therefore ready to use straight away. Upgrading is possible in principle, but requires some dexterity when opening the compact housing.

Although the Geekom A5 Pro can only be repaired to a limited extent, it offers a 36-month warranty, which is above the usual industry standard. The processor also masters more computationally intensive tasks such as data processing or light rendering reliably, but remains below current high-end models.

In operation, the Geekom A5 Pro presents itself as a solid mini PC as long as the requirements remain within typical limits. The system largely handles everyday tasks without any problems.

The Geekom A5 Pro is equipped with an NVMe SSD, which impresses in everyday use with good transfer rates and adequate access times. As a result, the mini PC offers fast system and application performance. The passive cooling also ensures stable performance values, even under prolonged load.

In the Geekom A5 Pro, the integrated AMD Radeon Vega 7 takes over the graphics output, the performance of which also depends on the RAM configuration. Thanks to dual-channel RAM, the performance is comparatively good, although the iGPU’s performance is not sufficient for demanding 3D games. The mini PC is clearly designed for office and everyday applications. However, the Vega 7 offers sufficient performance for simple graphics tasks and smooth playback of HD content, meaning that a dedicated graphics card is not necessary.

The Geekom A5 Pro is pleasantly restrained in operation and remains somewhat quieter overall than more powerful models. The fan reacts quickly to increasing load and becomes audible early on but works evenly and without annoying pulsing.

The casing of the Geekom A5 Pro remains pleasantly cool both in idle mode and under load, without any noticeable hot spots. In the stress test, the temperatures of the installed Ryzen processor briefly rise to just 60 °C, but remain in a non-critical range. The TDP of just 15 watts is reliably dissipated by the cooling system, ensuring stable performance.

The Geekom A5 Pro with Ryzen 5 7530U proves to be an energy-efficient mini PC in everyday use. The power consumption is pleasantly low in idle mode and remains moderate even under load. This makes the system well suited for continuous operation in the office or home office. The supplied power supply unit offers sufficient power reserves with its 65 watts.
